SATURDAY/SUNDAY SNOWBOARD LESSONS
As with skiing, we offer regular 2 hour snowboard lessons for all levels, which are also included as part of your Saturday/Sunday day trip package. Lessons run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 and are available for 10 weeks beginning January 7, 2012.
For more information, see the Snowboard Lessons page or email our Snowboard Technical Director, Jason Hewitt, at Snowboard School with any questions or comments.
WEDNESDAY SKI/SNOWBOARD LESSONS
As with Saturday/Sunday, ski and snowboard lessons are also available on Wednesday trips. While availability is based on instructor attendance, there is typically sufficient coverage to ensure lessons are available to all, but they cannot be guaranteed.
ALL DAY SKI LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
All day ski lessons will be offered for students up to STEP 3. As usual, you will have your regular lesson in the morning. In the afternoon, an instructor will be assigned to provide you with “guided mileage” offering you as much or as little instruction as you wish for. There is no need to pre book and it is free with your membership. Just let any instructor know you are interested when gathering for your morning lesson.
How do I get a lesson?
There is no need to pre book. For whichever day trip you plan to attend, simply show up at the morning line up and you will be grouped with others of the same ability level. The more day trips, the more lessons and hopefully, the quicker you will progress.
What time do lessons begin?
Lessons are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. To facilitate, you should begin to gather at the designated location at approximately 9:50. Please ensure you are in the line up at the designated time, to enable lessons to begin as quickly as possible and so as not to delay other members. On some occasions, our arrival time will require an adjustment to the starting time. This will be announced upon arrival at the hill.
How is my ability determined if I have never taken a lesson with NTSC?
Your level will be assessed in a brief interview when you gather for lessons and possibly a short ski with an instructor. This level number will be used to group you with others of similar ability. Similarly, snowboarders will be assessed in a brief interview and trial runs with your instructors.
Renting Equipment?
If you’re renting, just make yourself known on the bus. One of our instructors will be assigned to assist renters in the rental facility at each resort.
Private Lessons
Private ski and snowboard lessons of all levels are available each afternoon of the Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday day trips. Just speak with the Snow School Director in the morning to make arrangements.
Rates vary depending on the instructor level you request, as follows:
Level I - $20
Level II - $30
Level III - $40
All rates are for a one hour lesson.
NEED MORE INFO?
If you have any questions, at any time, do not hesitate to approach one of our friendly instructors, who will be evident from their uniforms.
