Our new kind of trip, where cross-country enthusiasts can hop on the Blue Mountain bus for a chance to ski at Scenic Caves.
This trip is a great chance for Alpine and Nordic members to connect on the bus and mingle at the Blue Mountain après before departing for the city.
Sign up deadline is Wednesday, February 25th at 8:00 PM
If you are buying a beginner ticket and/or renting equipment, please purchase the ticket and rentals online directly through the resort prior to the day trip.
THE WEARING OF SEAT BELTS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PASSENGERS
Bus Stop Locations and Time:
**Please arrive at departure area at least 10 minutes before departure time.
- Royal York Hotel (Billy Bishop Shuttle Spot) - 6:35am
- 68 Merton Street - 6:55am
- York Mills Subway Station - 7:10am
- HWY 400 / HWY 7 - 7:35am
- Arrival at Blue Mountain - Nordic skiers move to the Scenic Caves bus
- Arrival at Scenic Caves
- Departing Scenic Caves - 3:15 PM
- Departing Blue Mountain - 5:00 PM
Nordic skiers are invited to join the Blue Mountain Apres. Make your way to Bullwheel Pub (located on the 2nd Floor of the South Base Lodge, a short walk from the bus parking lot)
Nordic Rentals and Lessons:
Cross-country equipment can be rented at the Scenic Caves pro-shop desk. For price details, please visit their website: Scenic Caves Winter Season
Please note that there are no lessons being offered for Nordic skiing on this trip. The lessons offered are for downhill skiing at Blue. Your Nordic instructors will be participating in a training day, perfecting their craft.
Nordic Facilities at Scenic Caves
We have the Nordic Log cabin available for our group, to store belongings and have lunch. It is separate from the main reception chalet. There are food options available for purchase at the main chalet, or you could bring your own lunch.
Cancellation of Trip:
NOTE: This trip can be canceled for any of the following reasons, but not limited to:
- Resort closure
- Bus Captain availability
- Number of bus participants
To cancel your trip with NTSC prior to the day of the deadline, login to NTSC, select the event you wish to cancel, select "Already Registered", then select "Cancel" and confirm your cancellation.
If you are trying to cancel on the day of the registration deadline, please email alpinedaytrips@ntsc.ca prior to the registration deadline.
If you cancel after the registration deadline (or are a "no show"), you will be charged a cancellation fee. The remaining balance will show up as a credit on your account. Please allow a reasonable time for processing credits on your behalf as this is a manual process.
