    Travel Insurance

It is highly recommended for an NTSC member to purchase travel insurance, including trip interruption and travel medical insurance, either through one of our tour operators or another 3rd party provider. We’d hate to see your hard-earned money go to waste if a trip is cancelled, something unexpected comes up and you aren’t able to attend or really worst case, you're injured on the trip.

NEW THIS SEASON - Proof of travel medical insurance coverage is required for USA and Europe trips.

If you choose not to purchase any travel insurance, the tour operator, airlines, resorts and/or NTSC have no obligation to provide refunds or cover extra costs you may incur. Please protect yourself!

The insurance premium is due with the deposit (air trips) or full trip payment (bus trips). A package plan can be purchased through Skican or Voyages Gendron (air trips) or Express Tours (bus trips).

       Insurance Options

      CANCELLATION And Refunds

When you sign up for a Travel trip, you are buying from an independent tour operator (not NTSC), who is subject to third party regulations and government travel advisories that prescribe when insurance and refunds are issued.  NTSC cannot cancel trips as it may prevent members from obtaining refunds that they would otherwise be eligible to receive.

Depending on the situation for cancellation, as well as your personal insurance coverage purchased, refunds may or may not be reimbursed if your trip is interrupted or cancelled.   Purchasing Travel Insurance for Medical, Trip Interuption and Cancellation is strong advised.

Deposit, insurance premium, and NTSC pre-registration payment are non-refundable. Refer to each Tour Operator link below for timelines and additional cancellation charges that will occur.

           TRAVEL SOCIALS POLICY

All club travel trips feature sponsored social events, those designed to help members connect with one another and foster a sense of community during the trip.  These events are open to all registered trip participants. If a trip is sold out, current club members who are on the official waiting list may request to join the group for the social parts of the trip, such as dinners, après-ski gatherings, or other planned group activities.

To attend these socials, you must receive pre-approval from the Travel Director before the trip begins.  Approval is based on space, safety, and the nature of the planned events.  These events are funded through the trip registration fees and may also be funded by the tour operator. If approved, you will be asked to contribute toward any associated social or event costs.  These fees will be invoiced through our Wild Apricot system and must be paid in advance.

Please note that this option applies only to social activities and does not include trip-only benefits such as lodging, transportation, lift tickets. (Members are still responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.) Club members who have made their own travel arrangements and are not participants on the trip, should avoid attending these events. This policy helps us welcome social participation while ensuring fairness and smooth trip operations. If you’d like to join the social side of a sold-out trip, please contact the Travel Committee Representative to discuss availability.
